Requirements of Applicants

It is advised that you are 16 or over, although all applications are considered. Please be aware we can’t allow anyone under the age of 13 to join due to legal reasons.

You will be expected to complete at least 1 test show on another radio server for the management to listen to, this is to assess your full playlist and presenting skills, after we are happy you will broadcast for 10 days on the main radio server as a probationary presenter.

Once your probation has been completed, and we are happy, you will then be required to complete at least 2 hours on air per week, most weeks, if you are unable to do this for more than 2 weeks, we will need to be notified.

Presenters will need to respond to feedback from their peers and the management team, if we see fit, you may be advised to change playlists, order of songs, use of imaging etc.

You will also be required to follow probationary rules at the start of your journey with us, these are to ensure the quality of the radio is upheld. As well as additional probation specific rules, you will be required to follow the standard presenting rules, as well as our Discord guidelines.

Audio Demo Requirements

Demo's must be at least 10-15 minutes long, with a variety of music (cut down to the intro and outro of songs) as well as you speaking so we can see what you're capable of. Please ensure that your audio demo is custom for the station, please say only TruckSim.FM during your application, present as if it was on our live radio stream.

Please make sure that your microphone is of a decent standard to be able to broadcast your content live to our station, for example: static noise and bad echo etc will not be accepted, we advise against the use of webcam and headset microphones for radio broadcasting.

Please ensure that application demo files are no larger than 50 MB, and .mp3 otherwise the application will not go through. Also allow up to 10 days for a response to your application. If no response is received during this time please contact us.
